"WATER HOLE" 1995

"The commission was to create an outdoor square that could be populated by people from the surrounding houses - appartements, some for older people, conference center, restaurants and people passing by.
I wanted to work with the limestone in itself. It's different faces from highly processed surfaces to raw and weathered relics. From that I created a basin with descending steps and water up to the second. The basin is surrounded with different seats in raw limestone with four creature masks in bronze.
The work was carried out in collaboration with Sjöströms stonemasonry."
